My Story

In a previous life I was a pianist, composer, and teacher. As a performer, I often fixated on crafting a particular experience for the audience: whether that be through venue choice, written program notes, speaking from the stage, transitions between pieces, my "choreography" at the piano, or the use of silence. I wondered what elements could combine to form peak experiences.

What I now realize is that I was searching for user experience terminology and methods, without knowing what they were. I have always had as my primary focus the experience of the user, whether that user is an audience member sitting down to hear me perform, a student receiving feedback in a lesson, or a customer navigating an app.

I seek to provide peak experiences for my clients and their customers. I approach users with a deep curiosity, excited to learn about their patterns, wants and needs, and areas of frustration. I love using the tools of UX to uncover these things and craft products that delight and amaze.
